Here is the challenge

If you’ve spent time walking, cycling, or driving through any major city in the world you might have noticed that congestion and pollution are a growing problem for most of these cities. In fact, most of the major cities are facing an epidemic of congestion and pollution caused by rapid urbanization. With more and more citizens changing their cars for a more flexible way of transportation, we’re at the starting point of something big. 


What you will be doing

We’re looking for an Area Manager Düsseldorf/Aachen with a passion for innovation and a great understanding of the changing micro-mobility landscape. This role stands on two main pillars:

  1. Structuring operations and developing the city from a commercial perspective
  2. Managing our performance and the P&L for the Düsseldorf/Aachen region. 

You ensure that felyx is successfully running its business, including alignment with all our stakeholders in the metropolitan area. You're constantly balancing running day-to-day operations with taking a step back to think strategically about initiatives that have the potential to improve our performance. As our figurehead for Düsseldorf/Aachen, you further boost our business by developing local partnerships and making sure marketing campaigns are effectively executed. Coordination and clear communication across the team is therefore key.

But of course, this all has no reason if we don’t deliver a seamless experience to our users when going for a ride. Keeping our fleet of scooters in great shape is not a one-man/woman job, but you are responsible for the end result and in charge of leading the local team to ensure this. You will set and maintain the standards for positive work culture and inspire teammates based on well-rounded team management skills.

And important not to forget: we encourage you to grow with the company and within your role as we are continually on our journey towards ‘world domination’. Just kidding, market leader in Europe will do (for now).


We truly get excited if you

  • Possess 5-7 years of working experience, growing and optimizing a team/business
  • Have experience developing and optimizing operational processes
  • Have an understanding of tech marketplaces (real-time) with a focus on supply and demand
  • Have proven P&L experience and work revenue-focused
  • Are a true people person and a motivating leader for the team who shows presence and involvement
  • Are entrepreneurial and have solid analytical skills (fluent in Excel) to stay on top of all factors impacting our performance
  • Have strong project management skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Are a great communicator with the ability to build and motivate teams, work together with diverse groups across countries, and a good understanding of external stakeholder management
  • Are fluent in German & English
  • Are based in Düsseldorf or Aachen and are willing to travel between these cities

Bonus points if you

  • Are experienced with SQL
  • Have experience in the micro-mobility sector
