What you’ll be doing

Within felyx, the BI team is responsible for data management, data analysis and development of predictive and prescriptive models. As Medior Data Engineer you are responsible for driving the business by designing, building and improving a high performance and scalable data landscape. You will also challenge the status quo with your unique insights which are based on your experience with ensuring data integrity and building data platforms. Data is at the heart of this effort and is an essential ingredient in felyx’ aggressive growth plan and vision for the future. We're currently transitioning to a microservices architecture which requires novel solutions when it comes to ingestion and leverage of the data from different sources. As a member of our team, you will help tackle some of the most fundamental data-driven challenges we face and your work will impact the entire felyx experience.


Challenges that await you:

  • Work closely with Data analysts, Data scientists and Platform engineers for the design, development, enhancement and support of (real-time) data platform solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines
  • Apply data modelling methodologies and contribute to the fundament for Analytics and machine learning models
  • Be agile both within and across teams, democratizing access to data for anyone within the organization.

Requirements

We truly get excited if you

  • Have 2-5 years work experience in computer science industry, of which 2 years in the field of data engineering
  • Have past experience in designing and building large-scale data platforms with reliability and maintainability in mind
  • Have extensive experience with one or more programming languages (Python preferred)
  • Know your way around Git, Docker, Google Cloud, Kubernetes
  • Have strong SQL and relational data modeling skills
  • Have strong understanding of data models and data warehouses in general (PostgreSQL, mongoDB)
  • See yourself as a flexible person in terms of getting the job done
  • Have excellent communication skills in English
