How is felyx currently positioned?
Felyx is one of the few micro-mobility players in the world that is EBITDA positive on group level. We are a young company with more than a hundred employees, working in the operations or at the head office in Amsterdam. The role

As felyx is growing both nationally and internationally we need multiple GM’s. As General Manager Germany you will be involved in the launch of the first cities in Germany. When the cities are live, you will be responsible to drive revenue, oversee day-to-day business and run the full P&L for Germany while leading the young, talented team to success. In addition, the GM will be responsible for overall market performance and growth as well as building and strengthening the local team. The GMs’ team consists of multiple city managers, all with +5 years of working experience, and between 15 and 40 direct reports each. Other team members of the GM’s will be Fleet Managers, the Customer Service Team, Mechanics, the battery operation and of course local HR, Finance and Marketing. With the launch of each new city, we will welcome many new colleagues of course! For this role you will be based in Berlin, where you are expected to travel to the Netherlands regularly. In addition, you will visit the different cities that we will open in Germany.

Challenges abound in the German market: launching potential markets, out-competing the competition, deciding on the best approach to each individual city, winning over the German public to our form of shared mobility, to mention only a few. The biggest challenge in this role is therefore very clear: we want to grow, very very hard. And you will tell us with a clear vision and strategy how we will make that happen.


And important not to forget: we encourage you to grow with the company and within your role as we are continually on our journey towards ‘world domination’. Just kidding, market leader in Europe will do (for now).

Requirements

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in leading a team of local professionals, ideally in a scale up or similar requirement
  • Our new GM has a proven track record to grow an ARR from EUR 10+million to EUR 50 million
  • You are a passionate people manager who gets people involved in your story and strategy
  • B.A/B.S in relevant fields preferred
  • You have a passion for innovation and a great understanding of the changing micro mobility landscape
  • Demonstrable leadership experience within a growing organization
  • You are familiar with different cultures and have previously worked abroad
  • You are a data-driven 'do-er'
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, within different areas of expertise

Skills

  • You have demonstrable experience in managing a P&L ( > EUR 15 mln)
  • You are a result-driven leader who gets everyone involved in his or her strategy plans
  • You are able to convert strategic plans into concrete to do's
  • An understanding of tech marketplaces (real-time) with a focus on supply and demand
  • An clear understanding of the German culture and the difference between the “Laender”
  • Great communicator with the ability to build and motivate teams, work together with diverse groups across countries and a good understanding of external stakeholder management
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Self-motivated and the ability to learn new skills that enable you to grow quickly
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A data-driven nature and ability to balance attention-to-detail with swift execution
