How is felyx currently positioned?
Felyx is one of the few micro-mobility players in the world that is EBITDA positive on group level. We are a young company with almost 300 employees, working in the operations or in our Head Offices in Amsterdam and Berlin. The role

As felyx is growing both nationally and internationally we need multiple GM’s. As General Manager France you will be leading the launch of the first cities in France. Along with our HQ and launch teams, you will be determining our positioning in the French market, ensure we are set up for operational and commercial success and oversee our go-to-market plan. When the cities are live, you will be responsible to drive revenue, manage the day-to-day business and run the full P&L for France while leading the young, talented team to success. Your team consists of multiple city, marketing, human resources and customer support managers, all with +5 years of working experience, with between 15 and 40 direct reports each. With the launch of each new city, we will welcome many new colleagues of course! This role is based in Paris, with regular travel to the Netherlands. In addition, you will regularly travel the different cities we will open in France.

Challenges abound in the French market: launching potential markets, out-competing the competition, deciding on the best approach to each individual city, winning over the French public to our form of shared mobility, to mention only a few. The biggest challenge in this role is therefore very clear: we want to grow, very very fast. And you will tell us with a clear vision and strategy how we will make that happen.


This role will provide many growth opportunities as we are continually on our journey towards ‘world domination’. Just kidding, market leader in Europe will do (for now).

Requirements

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in leading a team of local professionals, ideally in a scale up or similar requirement
  • You have demonstrable experience in managing a P&L with full accountability 
  • Proven track record of launching a business in a new market 
  • Experience with crafting strategies and getting buy-in from senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable leadership experience within a growing organization
  • Worked in a multi-national environment 
  • Experience with digital B2C business preferred
  • MBA preferred 

Skills

  • You are a result-driven leader who gets everyone involved in his or her strategy plans
  • You are able to convert strategic plans into concrete to do's
  • An understanding of tech marketplaces (real-time) with a focus on supply and demand
  • Great communicator with the ability to build and motivate teams, work together with diverse groups across countries and a good understanding of external stakeholder management
  • You have a passion for innovation and a great understanding of the changing micro mobility landscape
  • Self-motivated and the ability to learn new skills that enable you to grow quickly
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A data-driven nature and ability to balance attention-to-detail with swift execution
  • You live in France, preferably close to Paris 
  • Fluent in French and English, with a clear understanding of the French culture
