Felyx is a sustainable e-moped sharing platform with a proven business model in The Netherlands and Belgium. Urbanization is rising and air quality is deteriorating. Therefore, felyx believes we need to shift to sustainable ways of shared and public mobility solutions. Pressure on public space also urges us to transition towards compact ‘’light electric vehicles’’, instead of personal and unused transportation. The company is now looking to further strengthen its market-leadership position by onboarding a General Manager France who, after the launch of the first cities in France, will be given full responsibility for further developing the French market for felyx, both by expanding to new cities in the region and by optimizing the performance of the first cities. In this way we can continue our mission and conquer the rest of Europe.
How is felyx currently positioned?
Felyx is one of the few micro-mobility players in the world that is EBITDA positive on group level with a fleet of c3,000 e-mopeds. We are a young company with more than a hundred employees, working in the operations or at the head office in Amsterdam. We are very proud of the fact that we have been named by Linkedin as a top start-up to work at for the second time in a row (2nd place), together with many other prestigious awards we’ve received since our start in 2017. We are operational in the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Delft, Groningen, Eindhoven and Brussels and will be launching 10 more Dutch cities in 2020 and 2021. Next to that, we have a strong focus on scaling up internationally.
As felyx is growing both nationally and internationally we need multiple GM’s. As General Manager France you will be involved in the launch of the first cities in France. When the cities are live, you will be responsible to drive revenue, oversee day-to-day business and run the full P&L for France while leading the young, talented team to success. In addition, the GM will be responsible for overall market performance and growth as well as building and strengthening the local team. The GMs’ team consists of multiple city managers, all with +5 years of working experience, and between 15 and 40 direct reports each. Other team members of the GM’s will be Fleet Managers, the Customer Service Team, Mechanics, the battery operation and of course local HR, Finance and Marketing. With the launch of each new city, we will welcome many new colleagues of course! For this role you will be based in Paris, where you are expected to travel to the Netherlands regularly. In addition, you will visit the different cities that we will open in France.
Challenges abound in the French market: launching potential markets, out-competing the competition, deciding on the best approach to each individual city, winning over the French public to our form of shared mobility, to mention only a few. The biggest challenge in this role is therefore very clear: we want to grow, very very hard. And you will tell us with a clear vision and strategy how we will make that happen.
