At felyx we use data in every part of our business to lead the market. As our number of data driven applications is increasing rapidly, our Data & Analytics team seeks an experienced, motivated and hands-on Data Product Owner to become part of our ongoing fleet and international expansion

Here is the challenge

Key to our strategy is our Analytics platform which is designed and built by a team of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts and Data Scientists.

As felyx’ Data Product Owner, you’re orchestrating the D&A team in terms of data product development. You will play a vital role in steering felyx’ data products and in maximizing the value of our Analytics services to our users. The role will encompass both the development of roadmaps and backlogs, stakeholder engagement, supporting our Agile way-of-working as well as assisting our Head of D&A with stakeholder management and strategic planning.

We are looking for someone who is self-starting, passionate about developing data driven products, not afraid to iterate quickly and try new things, keen to constantly evolve our approach. Above all you will be passionate about all things Data and Analytics.

You will have the chance to really shape this new role and make a big difference to the team and make felyx an even more data driven organization.


What you will be doing at Felyx:

  • Take ownership of assigned features and lead the creation and prioritization of the team backlog
  • Determining the development roadmap and achieving sprint and quarterly goals
  • Defining epics and user stories together with relevant stakeholders
  • Communicating across the organization: making sure everyone understands what features and enhancements are being delivered in what time frames and the purpose behind them
  • Preparing and leading biweekly scrum events
  • Supporting the creation of a high performing data team
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating our product and initiating improvement requests based on quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Take responsibility for quality of all developed products. Work with stakeholders to agree data quality tolerances and Data Engineers to develop test plans and coverage. Ensure all production data pipelines are above tolerance
  • Conduct user research, build and develop working relationships with a range of stakeholders including Analysts and Data Scientists, Customer Service, Operations and Marketing managers and staff, finance and source system product owners and developers
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Data and Analytics industry and align roadmap with best practice

Requirements

How to know if you are perfect for the job:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role within Data and Analytics or wider software development
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud Data Platforms and Data Exploitation concepts such as Data Lakes and Warehouses, ELT, Automated Reporting, Business Intelligence, Insight and Analytics and Machine Learning
  • Ability to query a database using SQL to understand the data, prove what is possible with that data, test quality and communicate that to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Commercial understanding of how to use data to add value to a business through either improved revenue or increased efficiency
  • Driving and managing the complete lifecycle of data products: from concept to user, from raw data to dashboards and ML/AI models.
  • Thrive on stakeholder management and love to work with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ask for help and feedback pro-actively, and dare to give feedback to others
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English

What would make you even more perfect (but don’t worry, this is a plus):

  • Have previously worked in cross functional product teams using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • You love the colour green & riding e-mopeds
